Living Without Regrets

"You know the thing you always wanted to do???? You Should Do it!!!"

Everyday I hear people talk about what they really want to do in life.  I listen to individuals speak about  following their dreams that were set for them by family members, friends and society.  What happened to following your own heart?  What happened to living out your own dreams?  At the age of 20, I moved to Memphis and started the process of living for me.  I moved to work at a low paying job in a city where I knew one person.  I was a risk taker and a dreamer.  From meeting new people (guys) in my apartment complex on the first day and welcoming them in my home to help move boxes, to quitting my job and buying a house at the same time.  "Ms. Memphis Risk Taker" should have been my name.  Memphis for me equaled a life without regrets.  Returning back to North Carolina equaled living within boundaries.  But you know what, I am not a safe person and it is not who I was made to be.  Well it has taken me another 11 years to remind myself to live outside of the box.  I am not sure about you but I was not made to live inside a box.

We all desire to live a comfortable life.  We all desire the best for our children.  What are we really teaching them, when they see us sad, depressed and even angry?  How can we tell them to follow their dreams, when we are living a dream deferred?  We all have something that is buried in our heart that drives us, something that we really want to do.  But we keep it hidden in our hearts because of self doubt, money, and even the lack of discipline.  It does not have to be big as starting a full time business, you could start your side hustle.  It does not have to be anything with money, maybe it's you want to spend more time with your family.  Maybe you want to travel, write a book, run more, eat healthier, or even join a social club.  Whatever it may be...... DO IT!!!!  There are three words I never want to say again, "I Wish I ____".

Take some risk! Go out tomorrow and do something that you have desired to do!  Write a Long Term and Short Term SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely) Goal that will move you closer towards your passion.

I challenge you to go and live your intentional life.  Coach Bre is here if you are tired of the excuses and ready to move towards a new vision.

Look around you. How many people do you think are settling? Probably a hell of a lot. People setting into okay relationships, okay jobs, okay friends, and an okay life. Why? Because okay is comfortable. Okay pays the bills, and provides a warm bed at night. Some people are fine with okay, and guess what? That’s okay. But okay is not thrilling, it isn’t passion, it’s not life changing or unforgettable. Okay is not the reason you risk everything you’ve got for the smallest change that something absolutely amazing could happen.
